FEATURES OF TASKADE APP

Taskade project overview

You can quickly see all of your projects, organized into named folders, in the Taskade workspace view.

In reality, you have two lists, one of which is very simple and essentially just lists each task along with a few specifics. The “action” view is superior because it accomplishes the same task essentially more thoroughly. We like this one better, though we wish we could customize parts of the table.

Taskade action view

The action view offered by Taskade is somewhat similar to other providers’ spreadsheet views, despite being less adaptable.

Since not everyone believes that adding a smiley face makes work enjoyable, and since we don’t like being pressured into using them, it irritates us that we can’t remove the emoji column. When writing our Asana review, we were extremely appreciative of the fact that Asana’s celebrations offer the same sort of trite “work is fun” vibe. However, you can easily turn those off.

Beyond the To-Do List

A good kanban board is another feature of Taskade in addition to the list. Although it won’t overtake Trello as the best kanban app anytime soon, it gets the job done and provides you with a lot of information that can be seen quickly. It’s a pretty crucial component of a kanban board, but as you can see from our Easynote review, not everyone uses it.

The kanban board from Taskade is quite functional.

The calendar is also very useful because it provides you with a great overview of everything that needs to be done. Due to the ability to assign date ranges to cards, it also serves as the timeline, which is advantageous.

TASKADE’S ADVANCED FEATURES

The mind map view, which we initially believed to be exclusive to ClickUp, comes first. Since you can’t move the bubble, it’s really more of a sideways org chart than a mind map, but we suppose it tickles some itch.

There’s also a regular org chart, so one that works from top to bottom, which should come in handy for some. A roadmap can be used to plan for future events, but it primarily concentrates on project planning. Although it might be useful, it didn’t provide us with the overview we were hoping for.

Taking everything into account, Taskade has a basic feature set that places it right in the middle of the field, especially when you take into account that all of the aforementioned services are provided without charge. We’re not entirely sure what the advanced features are for, but given that they’re free, there’s no harm in using them.
