WHAT EXACTLY IS TED?
The TED app is a platform for exploring, downloading, and watching TED talks, the renowned 18-minute or less long films that showcase thought leaders on subjects including technology, design, entertainment, and other fields. Users may explore highlighted speeches or talks that are centered on a certain subject. All of the talks that have been saved and bookmarked for offline listening or watching are listed on the My Talks tab. In many circumstances, storing for offline listening (as opposed to viewing) is the better choice because even saving a small number of lectures for viewing can soon result in a sizable amount of saved data.
Exploring the library is made extra interesting by the Surprise Me function. Users are given two tasks to complete when they choose Surprise Me at the bottom of the screen. They must first add one provocative adjective from a list of options that includes “Persuasive,” “Jaw-Dropping,” and “Ingenious” to the statement “You want to see something…” After that, students are required to choose a time period on a clock face between five and sixty minutes in response to the question, “How much time do you have?”. After that, the app presents a playlist that may be seen right now or downloaded for later. Users can sort lectures (by “most current” or “most popular”) or filter presentations by a few key subjects using the up-down symbol on the Featured Talks page (Technology, Business, Science, Entertainment, Design, and Global issues). Users may browse through all presentations in the All Talks area, which is organized by language or by categories (such as “Brain,” “Happiness,” and “Social Change”).
WHAT DOES TED WORK FOR?
Promote the dissemination of brilliant ideas is the mission of the TED Foundation. It aspires to provide intellectuals, instructors, and visionaries a platform so that people all around the world may learn more about the most pressing problems facing the world and be inspired to work toward improving the future. This objective is fundamentally based on the conviction that a strong idea has the potential to change the world more than anything else.
REVIEWS AND COMMENTS OF TED APP?
“The podcasts are my favorite. WorkLife and Sincerely X are masterpieces that I am grateful to have had access to, and I sincerely wish there were more episodes to listen to! The only hitch is that sometimes the very end of the recordings are cut off 🙁 it’s just the final few seconds, but it leaves me curious! And I will continue to listen.” – A Google user
“My favorite podcasts are those. I am thankful to have had access to WorkLife and Genuinely X, and I truly wish there were more episodes to listen to! The main drawback is that the recordings may stop right at the end: ( Even if it’s just the last few seconds, it makes me intrigued! And I shall keep listening.” – Manu Baiju
